Last baseball season, the Astros' Yordan Alvarez was leading the Major Leagues in RBIs with 57 in 55 games when he injured his left oblique muscle swinging at a pitch against Toronto on June 8, 2023.

Alvarez missed 39 games with the injury and was not activated from the injured list until July 26.

During that same time frame, Jose Altuve injured his left oblique muscle during batting practice before the Astros' game on July 4, 2023, and went on the injured list. He was not activated until the same day as Yordan - July 26.

Hopefully, Ewers' recovery from his oblique injury more closely fits the pattern of Altuve's injury than Alvarez's.
