Aaaaand this pretty much sums up our football dilemma

What's worse is that there are 3 probable 1st rounders next year that strongly considered Texas before leaving the state.

LB Baron Browning at Ohio State
DT Marvin Wilson at FSU
OT Walker Little at Stanford

Sickens me that we lost all those guy and they all could have made a huge impact last year.

BTW they also left off K'Lavon Chaisson who picked Lsu over Texas in the last minute.

With as bad as all that is, one thing is still the difference. We are getting great talent, but we are not developing them. That is the key, not that we missed on all those guys, but that when we get great players they aren't getting the coaching and development they should be getting.

The silver lining is that Herman dumped all his coaches who weren't pulling their weight and brought in a bunch of guys with reputations for being able to develop talent.

I am hoping that the legal payment of recruits heavily tilts the playing field away from the gross cheating by the usual suspects. If CDC wants to keep his job, it is time to unleash the full force of Texas economic might. We are wealthier x2 than the next wealthiest school.

Freaking tOSU took a $42.3 million bailout from the government. I wonder why they need the cash??? Hmmm..... I think the next decade will see huge separation in Texas from most schools as our economic might is unleashed by buying recruits outright legally. It's just a matter of time. This is where cfb is headed.

The masses of Texas fans must be satisfied and above will be how it occurs.

Edit: I am referring to the likeness payments from corps.

If the new coaches develop the talent they've inherited there's is no limit to what this team can do on the field this year.

Love that the Cowboys 2020 draft class is rated highly. It is still going to take a little more time for Herman to turn the corner and produce the kind of talent that Texas should have every year. That said, he should be on a very short rope to get things turned around. There is no excuse for Texas to not be a top ten team every year. Tick tock.

There is enough talent to win 10/11 games in the regular season and go to the Big 12 title game again and win that.

11 wins before the bowl game should absolutely be the expectation.

One more yr is gonna tell the fate of FB and BB...
