ACC network!

Sweet! Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock...the clock is ticking and this dumpster fire is about to explode!

How is that sweet? Sounds like all of the ACC teams are locked in for good now. Seems to me that just cements things as they are now.

The Atlantic Coast Conference and ESPN have agreed to a 20-year deal and rights extension through the 2035-36 academic year, sources said. The ACC also extended its conference grant of rights deal nine years through 2035-36, a source said.

Because the Big 12 is a shit show of a conference that is adding a bogus title game and needs to implode! It's simply a matter of time before Texas or OU pull the plug.

My point is there are less options to do something else now.

Not really, Texas could land in any of the remaining Power 5 conferences. The LHN can be abolished and the only thing that is truly dead is quality expansion for the Big 12 and I'd rather see it die. The ACC and B1G would take Texas in a heart beat, the SEC knows money talks and the PAC wants whatever big names they can get.

The only one that I'd rather have "ZERO" part of is the PAC.

Why would anyone from the ACC join the big 12. Holy Bevo teams are just waiting to take Baylor's place. That's funny, I would prefer Oklahoma in the ACC over the big 12. I do not believe Texas wants any change of scenery. The odds of winning championships in the big 12 are much easier. Well not conference championships apparently for some teams. I sand sure wouldn't expect Oklahoma to dominate the conference wins in ACC or SEC or Big 10. Texas has more built in advantages than any team. Why change that?? It won't be for more championships. Better teams better football so pick your poison.

OU blowhards are fun characters. Every year at the state fair I lose more and more respect for the fan base. These tools over here included.

The scuttle-butt on our board is that the ACC is throwing "eff you" money at ND to try to get them to join. And that the ACC wants one more huge program (like a Texas) to also join.
The ACC feels that if they get two large programs like ND & ... (Maybe Texas) they could surpass the SEC. They would have a pretty strong argument with FSU, Clemson, Miami, GT, VT, then add ND & Texas.

I'd be all for it as long as ND became a full member. The really cool aspect to this move is that Texas is already tied to ESPN and the LHN could be absorbed into the new network while giving Texas regional coverage.

Notre Dame joining the ACC in conjunction with Texas has been talked about before.

Getting Texas to join would be a prize for any Conference.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

It's Notre Dame. LOL. Don't worry man. It will all work out for you people. LOL

-re-This is all too odd. I pretty reliable source on the FSU board, moz, has accurately predicted every move of the ACC. I wont say predicted as he is an affiliate of Swofford. He minced words but he said that ND would be full time before you know it and they would also add a bigger school. MIght be bigger as in UCF with a huge enrolment.. but he said no to Navy which many assumed was a carrot to get ND (as they play navy every year no matter what)

If Texas and ND were to become full members of ACC football, we would surpass the SEC in football. Texas addded to our baseball would make it the equal of SEC baseball with a good chance to become better at that too. And then there is ACC basketball, and lacrosse and soccer and women's sports.

There is a valid reason that Big Ten fanboys always seem to be fouling their pants about ND paired with the ACC.

Winning. Dominate the conference. Win championships. Better football.

News flash: there is only one consideration for all parties involved. Money.

That is not true.

For example, if Notre Dame were all about money, getting the most, it would have joined the BT a long time ago. If Texas were all about the most money, it would have joined the SEC before the Aggies could have and taken OU as #14.

UNC would make the SEC even richer, which means in the SEC we'd get more money than we get now, and there is 0 chance we will leave the ACC.
