I am curious what you guys think of this.
A friend of mine is one of the founders of Zero Eyes. It's an AI gun detection software that allows responders to get a jump on shootings and respond much more efficiently and effectively by knowing the exact location of the shooter in a mass casualty event. It's the first step of many to deter and prevent loss of life in these mass casualty events. It integrates into cameras that are really only used forensically after a shooting unless a system like this is installed. The cameras only detect guns... not faces.
Thoughts?
Personally, I would like these installed in any place large groups of people gather.
Obviously not a total solution to mass shootings, but I believe companies like this are working on small drones that can be deployed to safely incapacitate a shooter far before authorities arrive etc. That alone would probably discourage these senseless events but I'm not sure how something like that will be accepted by the public.
