Dave Campbell's Texas Football has selected an All Texas major college team from among the 13 FBS teams in the state. I thought it was interesting, if not necessarily all that accurate. Part of their deal in both this post-season selection and their pre-season team is to include someone from each of the 13 schools. 11 Longhorn players made either their first or second team. Barron was the Defensive Player of the Year and Simmons was Defensive Freshman of the Year.
On their first team were Helm, Banks, Majors, Collins, Hill, Barron and Taaffe. On their second team were Golden, Simmons, Connor and Broughton.
What struck me was that Helm and Golden were the only offensive skill players from Texas selected. My view (and most of this board) is very Orange slanted, so it is interesting what outsiders thought. I would have posted the whose DCTF team here, but their site prevents me from copying the story.
