I wanted to create a new post to address the topic.
1. The biggest underlying issue appears to be related a memory bug on IOS Safari. It appears to be a bug connected to being on a single site for a prolonged period of time, so the average use on these sites isn't triggered.
2. It's a bigger issue on forums with long pages and heavy memory use.
3. Because it's connected to Safari, it gives us limited abilities to address the issue on the Rivals side. A coming theme refresh may help some, but what will really help is the latest major version release of the forum software, due later this year/early next.
The best advice I've been told to give out is to recommend another browser type. Brave is one I was recommended to recommend. It's not only a very good browser, but it comes with an ad blocker that will negatively impact our revenue, but will improve your experience.
