Our game starts at 9 am in my time zone. Later on the title games will be on. It will do me some good of what it was like when were in games like this. On how championship caliber teams play. There weren't any upsets in the title games last year.

The games
Clemson/NC - I don't see how Clemson can lose but then I usually get predictions like this wrong :(

ST/SC - When I've had the chance to watch them ST has always impressed me. I think David Shaw is one of the top ten coaches in the country. But this game doesn't really have my attention.

FL/Bama - wouldn't it be great if the gators spring the upset? It would take the SEC out of the playoffs. But it will be roll tide in Atlanta.

MSU/IA - now this is the game I want to watch. Like most college fb fans that don't live there I'm appalled that IA is in the top 4. Dyk that they went the whole season without having to play MSU, tOSU, and MI? And that their non con schedule was weaker than Baylor's? That this woefully unqualified committee jumped them to number 5 after they beat Indiana? In fact of the big 3 in the Big X east, IA, WI, and NW did not have to play the above mentioned teams? I'm a big fan of Mark D'antonio I think he's in the top ten for best coaches in the country. I don't want them to just win. I want them to beat the stone cold he** out of Iowa. The way tOSU beat WI last year with a third string qb. Beat them so bad that IA falls out of the top 12.

Any opinions?

I am for chaos. I think North Carolina has a puncher's chance, because they can score. But my dream is for Alabama to lose. Would the committee dare to put in 2 Big 10 teams, and leave out the SEC? Florida's O is terrible; even if they somehow pull an upset, I don't see how you could move the Gators into the Top 4 under any circumstance.

I agree that North Carolina has a chance.

Clemson has been known to lay some pretty big turds.

This committee has no honor. If Florida somehow manages to beat Bama and Stanford wins this Saturday they should put the Cardinal in the playoffs over a team that didn't even win their division. But don't anything past this committee. It's so ridden with Big X people who shamelessly will do anything when it comes to ranking their teams. Iowa is proof of this.

Hey Cali nice work. How do you feel about OU representing the Big 12?

I hope we see some Clemsoning...and would love to see Florida do the unthinkable, but....They may be the worst division winner since Colorado was rapped by Texas in Houston.

Sparty rolls

Other than Bama losing, I'm not rooting one way or the other, maybe puling for Iowa. But I think a Clemson loss is more probable than a Bama loss. A few thoughts I had:
1. Can UNC get in with a win? Is 12-1 with a 12 game win streak enough to vault from 10 to 4? Is UNC's loss to SouthCarolina any worse than OU's loss to UT in retrospect.
2. I don't think or expect a 2-loss team from any conference to get in, right?
3. If Bama loses, could Clemson lose and still stay in the top4? In that scenario, Iowa/MSU winner and OU is in. SEC/Pac10 out. Now 2 spots left for 12-1 Clemson and 12-1 UNC, and 11-1 OSU, right? It happened several times in the BCS era.

You $ooners (including your fat, gay president) still crying like little girls about us only having 10 teams and no conference title game? Seems we were right about the Big XII having the easiest path and you were wrong, huh?

Scholz, no disrespect to you, it's not OU's fault for not having a Big XII
Championship game. That falls on the Big XII committee. And I don't see
them at this point of getting anyone else to join and I don't see any other
teams leap frogging to join. How long has it been now since there were
twelve teams.

Here is my problem with the whole ranking system right now. Why does a Clemson loss get them knocked out? They have been the #1 team pretty much all year. If they were to lose unc is a better loss than ole miss or Texas which are Alabama and Oklahoma loss. The fact that they aren't a champion shouldn't come in to play because Ohio state could take that spot under the right circumstances.

I just don't see the logic in a loss knocking Clemson out especially if it's a close loss. I know that's what will happen. Not sure it should

Wtf are you talking about and who is 'we' you speak of? Anyone with half a brain can reasonably conclude if you don't have to play a CCG then you have an easier path? Just ask Ohio State before tge Big 10 had a CCG. Who is arguing that? You must be confusing me for someone else

I agree with this. It doesn't make sense. They have been doing this for many years. They (rule makers) should at least come out and put their unwritten rules on paper for everybody to know the rules upfront. Maybe they like the vagueness so they can place who and how they want. If you lose in November your out? You lose in late October are you out? Just make it a freaking 8 game playoff and make the P5 conferences send their champ and then issue the 3 at large

It will be an entertaining saturday for sure. Stanford is very good and are worthy to be in the top4 if they win. I understand though, that 2 losses puts them out. The PAC was a damn good conference this year IMHO.

I think Iowa is probably better than we think. It is still difficult to go unbeaten in any conference any way you slice it. Nonetheless, I think MSU takes care of business.

I think UNC has the best chance of an upset whereas, I don't think Florida has a chance.

Umm, I'm talking about your fat, gay president who was crying in the press about not having a title game this past year and 95% of your fanbase that came onto this website and said mean ol' Texas was keeping the conference down by keeping it at 10, that a 1-loss Big XII team would never make it into the playoffs. $ooners were WRONG. Haven't seen a single one man up and admit it either.

I personally don't think Texas is keeping the conference down. Correct me
if I'm wrong but isn't the Big XII committee responsible for bringing in new
members ? I honestly don't know. And at this point I don't give a rat's fat one.

The committee includes Condoleeza Rice (on the Stanford faculty) and Tyrone Willingham (former coach at Stanford). If these scenarios play out, Stanford is a lock.

Of course they are. Until something is perceived to be wrong. And then it's always UT's fault.

No. The schools have the final say on anything. The committee makes a proposal and the schools vote on it.

Well I never complained but I have to admit after the TCU/Baylor deal last year it made you wonder. As far as a 1 loss team out of the Big 12 making it, imo it will be OU or Texas that would get in under that scenario I don't believe anyone else in the conference would get the nod .

My pick'em is done for the season so I'm rooting for all upsets. It'd be worth it just to watch everyone try to explain whatever result the committee came up with for the playoff this year. At least we shouldn't make it easy for them. Give me at least one non-Big 10 championship upset!

Why is our conference now at 10??

Hey Cali nice work. How do you feel about OU representing the Big 12?

Burnt orange price aside, Oklahoma deserves to be in the playoffs. Period. They had all hands on deck when their big three came up. They were better than Baylor. They hung on to beat TCU. Btw, Steven Parker made the Big XII dpoy when he knocked down that two point conversion. Beat OSU like they stole something.

Now how will they do against Bama. Gonna wait and see. If the Bama defense is as good as they say then it's the perfect match up. We already know about Oklahoma's offense.

I suppose Oklahoma will be going up against the Heisman winner.

You never know if the star player gets injured during the game.

All in all it will be a great match up, presumably in Dallas, on New Years Eve

Clemson wins, Mich State wins, FLorida wins, and USC wins..... no $ec in the playoff this year gentlemen

We beat yall on the field, so I am comfortable rooting for ou to win it all and represent the Big 12...... very rare thing to happen for me... but I think I can handle it this one time... but dont expect me to say/sing or think boomer sooner... lol
