Tommy Tuberville seems to think that someone can be a White Nationalist without being a racist. That seems to be a stretch for me. Isn't the whole concept of White Nationalism that White people should retain a majority of persons in a state and in doing so maintain their political and economic dominance? If that assumption is valid isn't that by its nature racist. He rails against identity politics but isn't White Nationalism the very epitome of identity politics since they by definition want only white people and white culture in control. Why can't he just denounce White Nationalists and advocate for policies and ideals that he feels are true American in nature regardless of race?
