I been saying we need to hire him now and start a mandatory women’s sensitivity training program for all athletes that would be likely implemented at other schools to counter the bs pr that would come with Briles hire ! What starts at Texas changes the world! Sit back and watch the greatest show on turf !!!

Our wussy admin would never hire Briles unless it was shown that the Baylor investigation was, wait for it.........RACIST and from reading that report it may have been.

Riley will have his hands full, our offense struggled against Baylor and Aranda just like we did against LSU last year with Aranda as their DC. never thought I’d say this but our defense won that game for us.

I have long wondered when the SJW's would take up this case. The allegation was that 52 players, all of one color, were assaulting women, all of one predominately one color. Only one (1 too many!) conviction. Was ESPN guilty of hyping the racial component to this, without specifically saying so? Isn't this what the SJW's are rioting about?

They moved on from Lou Holtz, because they didn't want him to break Rockne's record. Maybe, it's the same deal.

Somebody on this board claimed that Briles paid, threatened, and assaulted victims to keep them quiet. He needs to recant.

Here’s Briles’ coaching ability in a nutshell to me. Several years ago Baylor went to their bowl game down to their 4th string qb, who wasn’t a qb on the roster, I believe he was a wr at Baylor that played qb in hs. @diadevic will have to help me out there. Anyway, Baylor freaking won their bowl game running a wildcat offense which is not what they ran much all year. That my friends is coaching imo. If OU or Texas is down to their 4th string qb you think they’d pull out a bowl win?

All we need to do is hire AB and start a mandatory Women’s sensitivity program that would show the college football world what starts at Texas changes the world! That would quell the bs negative pr !

Lynx Hawthorne. This is for Cali - “dyk” in back to back year bowl games - BU set the all time record for most yards passing in a bowl game. The following year, in the game Bell referenced, BU set the all time record for most yards rushing in a bowl game. Pick your poison - he’s an offensive genius.

Wait a minute most of you guys on here hated Briles because he voted for OK in 2008 and now you guys want him to be our next coach?

Look diadevic we've gone back and forth on politics and I'm sorry. I like you and there's no question that Briles is a great offensive mind. When Spurrier retired he was going to be the man at least on offense. His numbers are just as good as LR without 5* talent. And if he was innocent of any involvement in the scandal than I'm happy for him and his family. He obviously is a great fund raiser because Baylor alums started to open their wallets and they have world class facilities now as good as TX and not just fb but all sports. The jewel is the new stadium.

Questions

At 65 how long will he coach? Is it possible that his son Kendall will come with him to TT and be groomed to replace him? I get the impression that he's under consideration for the job there.

Will he hire a good defensive and special teams coaching staff? They have to hold him accountable for that cause he didn't do it at Baylor.

And he has to play a more respectable non con schedule than he did at Baylor. He should be made to play to play at least 1 P5 school a year no more Wofford and Stephen F Austin. That played a big part in Baylor being passed up for a spot in the playoffs 6 years ago.

Look I was a big admirer of Briles' offense and I posted that on here numerous times. If his mind is still sharp and he still has the fire and if TT really wants to fire Matt Wells and hire Briles they should go for it. And I listed 3 things if he does 2 and 3 he can take TT to the next level. Hey if ISU can finally win a conference title then TT can to.
 
I remember those 90’s teams he coached down at Stephenville High School. He started there in 1989 running the wishbone offense. He then transitioned to the spread offense in the mid to late nineties. They won 4 state championships in 10 years. Whenever he took over there in 89 they hadn’t made the playoffs since 1952. I believe they haven’t missed the playoffs since 1989. It was quite impressive what he did in his time there.
 
To me if I'm CDC I'd want my new hire here ASAP For recruiting going into the bowl game. Since a move hasn’t been made yet it seems safe to assume Meyer is not the guy and perhaps it is someone who is still coaching their team? Or maybe no new coach at all?

It's clear that coaches from outside Texas don't want to coach at Texas. See Meyer and Campbell. Why is that the case?

It's becoming clear that that our AD from California is trying to hire a consensus coach that the talking heads of the world will declare a winner. It's not working because mixing oil and water doesn't work. We need a coach that knows Texas high school football and that knows how to drop bags. Briles would get along with the BMD'S. They are similar in many ways.

Accountable for what? 1 player off that team was found guilty of anything and they kicked him off the team as soon as they found out what happened.

just putting this out there 919...in 2015 every fan of a team not called baylor was calling for AB's head on a pike. now i see some horns and rude raiders jump on this new narrative as a way to switch from "Get rid of the evil Briles who's been kicking our a** since he got to Baylor" to "oh he wasnt so bad and probably a scapegoat anyway" now that you want him. hope you understand the hypocrisy inherent in that train of thought.
