At what point does NIL contributions by businesses going to make you stop utilizing certain businesses? I mean, if a corporation wants to be charitable, shouldn't they give to college scholarship funds for all students? NIL is to boost athletics vis-a-vis rival schools. No one has stopped buying NIKEs because of Phil Knight's prominence boosting Oregon athletics, but that isn't the NIKE company, only one rich shareholder. Now Memphis isn't a rival to Texas, but how would you feel about using FedEx if FedEx were giving huge amounts to OU or A&M's NIL funding? Hello UPS? Or not?

MEMPHIS (AP) — FedEx on Friday pledged $25 million over the next five years to be used in sponsorship deals with University of Memphis athletes, a huge boost for the school's name, image and likeness compensation efforts.

The Memphis-based shipping giant said the program will initially focus on football, men’s and women’s basketball and other women’s sports. The deal was facilitated by Altius Sports Partners, a company that works with dozens of schools on NIL activities.
