I wonder if he was told Vahe would be playing center next year? That's what I see happenings anyways.
It makes no sense, he had the potential to start next year. It's not like we have a lot of depth

I disagree with IT's statement about a replacement: "... perhaps even some yet-to-be-signed freshmen." @CoachEmUp64, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe center requires so much knowledge, awareness and study, not just any widebody can play it effectively.
Too bad for us, always liked him, and he was just getting ready to enter the productive phase. Still, congrats to him on getting a b school degree in 3 years, and best of luck!

It is too bad....but how is it that he has been here 3 years and has yet to barely see the field? It seemed to me that he was not putting on any weight.
I watched this kid grow up. Don't know his parents but I know he's about as good as they come. Very respectful and nice kid. As you can tell from his post above. Best of luck to the kid. It didn't work out here and I don't blame him.

I don't know how strictly they interpret the graduate degree rule. I believe the rule states the transferring school has to offer a graduate program not offered by the original school in order for immediate eligibility. There are certainly enough graduate programs out there to transfer pretty much anywhere, but it's kind of a short sided decision if you have to get a graduate degree in something obscure in order to qualify.

I really hope Newsome's not even thinking of a transfer. The Dropsy Twins, Daje and Marcus, are gone and Newsome should be set to move into DJ's role. Strong really loved using DJ and, from what little we saw of Ryan, I think he will be better than him.
