I have what's left of St. Augustine in my backyard. Half is dead from the drought we've had and too much shade. I just had the trees trimmed and looks like there will be ample sunlight on the yard now. When do you plant grass? I don't wanna switch to another grass as only half is dead. Daughter is graduating HS in late May and a backyard party will need to have a beautiful, grassy surface. What are to do's and don'ts? Aerate? Till up all the dead areas? Feast on these nips fer yer suggestions.
