ALWAYS WIN ON SUNDAY. That has been the mantra all season. Coach Pierce likes to say that you are looking to survive, win the series or sweep on Sundays. While today is not a conference three game series, the Horns can win the Austin Regional and move on to the NCAA Super Regional for the second year in a row. In order to do that, Texas will need to win today or in a worst case scenario win on Monday against the winner of the Air Force v. Louisiana Tech. The Longhorns will likely need to get the offense going early as Coach Pierce and staff continue to seek a third starter.
If you look at the two teams that Texas could potentially face, Louisiana Tech is the more likely of the two to advance and more dangerous club. I saw that because of the pitching staff and grittiness that the Bulldogs have. Air Force has a dangerous hitting team, but their pitching situation is very questionable. At the end of the day, the Longhorns have more talent that either team and should be able to close it out, but the Horns will need to continue playing clean defense and get the offense rolling early on.

Texas - RHP Zane Morehouse (3-1, 5.75 ERA, 1.39 WHIP)
---I am going on a hung that it will be Morehouse and that Texas will try to get 2 innings out of a couple of guys to bring this one home.
