Going to opening game and want to watch some noon/2:30 kickoffs too. What are the good sports bars close to DKR now days?

Of course there is always Scholz's, but it is packed on game days. I'm not sure of any other sports bars within walking distance of DKR. More often than not, if you're friendly and mingle with a large tailgate group, the majority of them are welcoming of guests wearing orange. Most decent sized tailgate groups have multiple TV's with games on before and after the Texas game.

A good tailgate is the answer. Food, drink, television sets and your team camaraderie is unbeatable. 👍

I agree and that's usually what we do. Just thought I'd see if there is any good bars around first. A/C always wins this time of year lol. Thanks Longhorn

Oh for sure. Usually we would tailgate ourselves but I don't the vehicle to do so. Growing up our spot was behind the softball field. Great memories great fun and the tailgates only get bigger from there to the stadium.
