Cant make free throws has plagued Texas since Barnes ? Players forget how to score after they come here or what ? I just don't get it ? Anyone think it's coaching ? Opinions please.

disappointing game. thought we were on the right path. can't give games away with the conference schedule we face

You guys have to realize that 1). This team is young and will make dumb mistakes. 2). UT just lost its leading scorer and 3 point shooter.
The problem I see is that the bigs are not being used properly. Need to get Bamba and Big O on the block and attack. Both men has to have a double double in order to be successful.

With everyone well, we had our foot on the throat of Duke.
I can assure you that was not a fluke.

(just made that sh!t rhyme and I didn't mean to)

Get everyone well, power through the conference schedule, get a 5 seed, wreck shop.
Hope Coleman stays another year, and find some shooters and this team is good, like really good

clob is way more optimistic about hoops than foosball.

i don't know, i may be wrong, but coleman doesn't LOOK like a 1 and done. bamba definitely does.

Sixth in the country in defensive efficiency (best in the Big 12) and 94th in offensive efficiency (worst in the Big 12 -- by far).

And this is after all of the issues from last year's historically putrid offense were supposedly going to be cured with a true PG. The issue is not just about losing Andrew Jones for one game. The uncomfortable truth is that Shaka is proving to be a terrible offensive coach.

Or a terrible evaluator of offensive talent.

I don't know if you can blame the coach when 3 or 4 shots are missed at the rim, and wide open 3's clank off the rim or miss the basket entirely. Texas is not a deep team at the guard position. Davis and Young have improved but both have glaring deficiencies. Disappointingly, only 2 of the freshman are making a significant contribution. Coleman needs to shoot more.

But here’s the problem: I’m tired of that excuse. I’m tired of constantly being “young.” Duke is young. Kentucky is young. They seem fine. That leaves coaching. Obviously players aren’t getting developed the way they should

no! it's not an evauation problem. his offense is a clogged toilet. freind and i both call it that. but it does look BETTER with coleman.

Is it fair to say that Shaka has been a disappointing hire, or it is too early for that? For all of the hype that he got coming to Texas, and for what he's being paid, he's a big disappointment to me.

Disappointment? I'd say this is a big year. Yes we all want a quick fix. But he has had two recruiting cycles, the chance to get his players in his system. His recruiting has been top notch. The Duke game was encouraging. The Michigan game was a disaster. Youth causes inconsistency. But this offense is (and has been for two years) tough to watch. By the end of this year, the youth excuse will be gone and they should be ready to win a couple of games in the Big Dance. If not, then count me in the disappointed camp.

I'm not a fan of the one and done rule. IMO there is no identity with guys only being around for a year or so. It makes it hard to feel much of a connection to the team, unlike before the one and done rule.

Texas recruits well. Duke and Kentucky recruit one and done after one and done. They are on a different level than anyone else, including Kansas and UNC. Those 2 are always young on purpose. Gotta make room for 5 more 5 stars next year.
