To be a Big 12 contender:
Cleare needs to be more consistent knocking down that little jump hook in the lane.
I hope Roach is better at initiating the offense than we saw from the guards last night.... specifically at the start of each half.
Only 2 of the big guys can score. That makes this team vulnerable to injury or foul trouble.
If Cleare can make the jump hook, and if the offense can work the ball into the paint, then they will be able to kick it back out to the 3 point line and Young and Davis and few others can blaze away. That would be fun.
They rebounded well, but that will probably need to be a team effort because outside of Cleare they don't seem all that physical.
First impression is they are better shooters than we've seen recently, but are probably going to struggle on the defensive end.
Freshmen J. Allen, Jacob Young, and Andrew Young seem like very smart players.
They need to get it done as a team, because if someone decides they should take it upon themselves to win the game, I don't think that will work. Didn't see that kind of talent.
