Besides A&M, which SEC team do you dislike the most ...

Arkansas because there is history. I don’t care about the rest, they are all the same to me.

However of the rest I would say LSU because of proximity and Alabama because they made up half a dozen national championships out of thin air and just lucked into Saban.

Only Arkansas

None of the rest even register with me, Texas has winning records over everyone except Vandy

I hate (or dislike) a good deal of the SEC aside from aggy.

Bama and LSU are at the top these days, for the reasons MM stated. Still hate Arkansas, although not as much as I once did. Their mouthbreathing fan base can call up old feelings pretty quickly, though. With Bama I’ll admit that envy of their success under Saban is part of the equation. But there’s absolutely nothing to envy about Arkansas; I’ve come to pity those hilljacks. Bevo has taken enormous sh*ts on their dreams so many times. We’re a half-century away from the epic 1969 game, and that entire fan base hurts like it happened last season.

Of course, for me the 1984 Cotton Bowl hurts like it was yesterday, too. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t leave me with some negative feelings toward UGA, petty as that might be.

Especially loathed UF under Spurrier and Meyer. I generally dislike almost everything from that state.

I dislike Tennessee for their hilariously insecure fans. In my experience, most Texas fans and alums general either don’t think about Tennessee at all, whether in athletics or academics, or they have a vaguely positive feeling about the school, often based on the historical connections between the two states. A large number of Tennessee fans seem to resent Texas, though, and feel compelled to puff out their chests about being “the real UT,” despite Tennessee being a third-rate university and having an inferior football and overall athletics history. We can’t help but laugh.

Easy to hate Kentucky basketball with the current self-involved, smarmy sleazeball in charge -- and with their generally dirty history.

Vandy baseball can kiss my ass in perpetuity for their gaming of college baseball’s scholarship system.

And f*ck Missouri.

That was a great read, thanks!

Epic!

The part about UF interests me. I've heard of UT fans acting like you guys have more in common with UF than us and I completely disagree. That state has little in common with Texas other than being in the Sunbelt.

If I may add my 2 cents, the SEC teams I dislike the most are Texas AM, LSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Mississippi St, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri and South Carolina. I like Auburn ok, and I just don't care about Vandy... I think that covers it pretty well.

Its A&M and A&M and root for any team in the SEC that plays them, second its Lsu because I lived in the state for a year and could not wait to get out and hard to get Texas games on the radio, third,Auburn,no real reason but never could relate in any way to them.

I totally forgot about Missouri. I hate them, but not necessarily the football team, they are nothing but a speed bump. I hate the school for breaking up the Big 12. They started the whole thing when they openly flirted with Joining the Big 10. And they burned a lot of bridges, then when the Big 10 didn't pick them, they came back to the Big 12 with hat in hand begging to be let back in, and the Big 12 did so. Then when they got the call from the SEC it was screw you Big 12. I will forever hate those worthless chumps.

All I can say is when bad things happens to those jerks, I don't shed a single tear. It's a shit state and a shit school.

You like Aub? Interesting ...

I hate the entire SEC even Vanderbilt I mean they couldn't even beat Baylor in the Houston Bowl. SEC fb might take a step down this year because with the exception of Bama I don't think their qb's are all that. Otoh the I think the Big XII is poised to take a step up this year because of the number of good qb's we have. Imo that's why went 3/1 against them.

My stepdad went to Auburn (whereas all my blood relatives who went to college went to ACC schools). Also, Auburn has that "little brother" thing going with Alabama. Much of the ACC is composed of "little brother" schools - from a state governance point of view (not on the field!): FSU, GT, Clemson, Pitt and Louisville are all little brother schools to Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Penn State and Kentucky, respectively. So you could make a case for Auburn to the ACC (they'd probably disagree!)

Just find a defense and you will continue to dominate that conference and have a chamce to win it all.

And to keep this going your school would make it 6, as then add 3 more schools in NC, to make it 9. Finally one more school in FL makes it 10. Can Syracuse and Boston College be considered little brother schools? Finally we have 2 flagship schools, NC, and VA. So you're right the the ACC is a conference of little brother schools. This is fun.

The way they left the Big 12 was not good. But you are incorrect about it being a shit school. Daughter decided to go there out of the blue. Visited with her and was quite impressed with campus, programs and town. 2 years in and I'm even more impressed.

I think Big 10 screwed up no taking them - its the right fit for them. And better fit than Rutgers. Walk the campus and there is nothing about it that tells you its an SEC school.

From an educational standpoint I'm sure it's a good school, just like aggsy, but the way it is run makes it a shit school. I think the way the school handled itself during the whole conference shift showed just how low class it was. They took TV money from schools like KSU and ISU as a good will gesture to stay in the conference and still left the conference. Texas refused to take that money and still stayed. I have nothing but disdain for them.

To each their own. Big fan here.

I don’t know, they’ve been trying to escape to the SEC East. They’ll do anything to play a schedule like Clempson plays. Most of us would ...

You been to any sec east schools besides MU?

UGA and Ala had no issue scoring on OU in games that actually mattered.

That's because blOwU has one of the friendliest defenses in college football, they want everyone to feel welcomed and at home in their end zone. Their motto is Cum in our end zone as much as you want. We love having you there.

The only SEC E school I've been to is USCe, they are a lot like Tech fans. Their team sucks but they sure do talk a good game.

It is a different world than the west, bud. Which is why Mizzou s in our division.

Look at the academic rankings and students at schools like Vandy, UF, UGA as compared to Ala, LSU, Miss st, etc...

Well the same goes for OU vs both Georgia and Alabama. The difference is OU had almost the worst defense in the Big 12 while Georgia and Bama were the top 2 in the SEC.

If we can just get the Big 12 refs to step up and officiate correctly, we will take care of business both times this year. We held UGA to 5 yds offense halfway into the second qtr.. We were up 27-7 with 10 minutes left in the game. We went prevent with younger players and took our foot off the gas... it could have been worse. Our defense will be much more talented this year. We will be fine.

From what I've read they have one of the best journalism schools in the country.
