1. Cheers ( Every time the theme comes on at the end, I feel like it’s time to go to bed. Ha! That was the last show to come on in my house before bed time.)
2. Friends/The Office
3. Parks and Rec/Seinfeld
4. Arrested Development
5. Night Court

Anyone remember the day-time TV shows during the summer? Gidget, Brady Bunch, Hazel, Green Acres, Gomer Pyle, etc.? It was pure greatness, along with Jim Adler (the tough, smart lawyer) commercials sprinkled in... lol

Another terrific thread!

My Top 5 Sitcoms

1. Seinfeld - nothing comes close. It is too hard to explain the greatness of this show. 30 million people watched it every single week. 30 million. The amount of Seinfeld references I can input into any conversation is actually embarrassing. The amazing thing about Seinfeld is that it got BETTER as it continued. Most shows hit their prime in year 2/3. Seinfeld constantly got better. And they didn't have to change anything. Just glorious.

2. Frasier - I love satire. This show was so over the top yuppy, it cracks me up just thinking about it. The dad being the polar opposite of his two sons was icing on the cake.

3. The Office - the dry banter and awkwardness is just awesome, lol. For me though, the show really got dull in the last few seasons. But Season 2-4 were spectacular. Robert California (I freaking love Spader) was a funny character that certainly helped the show IMO.

4. Cheers - much like Seinfeld, Cheers' prime years were extremely long for a TV sitcom. It seems weird putting Cheers down here while the spin off series is #2, but Frasier actually became my favorite Cheers character later in the show. Sam Malone these days would be vilified, lol. Cliff's "did you know" shtick was one of my favorites.

5. Get Smart - This show was funny and interesting when I was a kid. I looked forward to it coming on the local syndicates (re-runs). I didn't miss it for Atari/Nintendo, or riding my bike. Loved this freaking show. Probably need to buy it on Amazon or something. Miss watching it.

Also great shows ranked in order...could be just as good as 3-5 in my above list

Married With Children
Martin
Saved By The Bell
Night Court
Fresh Prince
Friends
Diff'rent Strokes
Family Matters
Family Ties
Growing Pains
Newsradio
Hogan's Heroes

Just Shoot Me with David Spade was hilarious. Did anybody on here ever see the "two girls for every guy" episode? If anything, just watch that one.

Leave it to Beaver "the haircut" episode always has me rofl.
Leave it to Beaver is great, Adventuresbb CB of Ozzie and Harriet, the Munsters.

one of the funniest couple of episodes I saw of Just Shoot Me were with Brian Dennehy playing David Spades dad
