I know it's earlier than I usually do this but I'm doing it this time because well there isn't any. ESPN is sending their golden boys, Fowler and Herbstreit to Pullman, WA. WS/AZ I mean they can't do any better than that? Ftr, WS rolls in this one.

The best game of the weekend is not on ABC. It's not on CBS. It's not on ESPN. It's not on Fox.

No the best game of the weekend is on the LHN ISU/TX. This has to be the best matchup the LHN has ever carried. This is by far the best matchup of the weekend. You have #15 vs #16. Without question this will be the best ISU team we've ever played. I've been saying for awhile that Matt Campbell is a rising star. Look at who ISU has beaten the last two years I mean they thumped WV.

We've played against a lot of great receivers this year but Hakeem Butler is as good as any of them. He's tall like CJ and strong. Check out his td catch against OK. The kid broke 6, that's right 6, tackles on his way to the end zone. They have a freshmen qb who reminds me a little bit of Sam Ehlinger. And they have the best defense in the Big XII nationally they're ranked 17th. Jon Heacock is the best dc you don't know about. If ISU can keep Matt Campbell for the long haul he will do for ISU fb what Bill Snyder did for KSU believe that. Looking forward to Saturday night.

I was chastised earlier in the year for saying that ISU had the best defense in the league. Some took offense to that so I then said that of the teams OU had played, ISU, played the best defense. I’m not saying ISU will beat Texas but they are capable of slowing down your offense considerably.

On a side note, you do know what happens in 2 weeks when OSU beats Michigan and OU beats WVU don’t you. Riley licking his chops

I know what happens when Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, and Michigan win out. OU will not beat West Virginia twice. Don’t get too far ahead of yourself there Bell. The way OU plays defense I wouldn’t be surprised if West Virginia hangs 60 on you guys.

We will run all over WVU, book it. Then Murray will make them his personal come from behind Heisman moment game, ......TWICE. OU plays Kansas this week, who do you think they prepared for? WVU doesn’t have that luxury. WVU, prepare thine keisters.

I like your confidence Bell, I hope you’re right. I think it will be tough to beat W.V. on the road. I truly think Iowa State would be harder to beat a second time. I wish Texas and OU could play again in the title game. It may be W.V. and Iowa State.

I’m actually not even sure WVU survives their game this weekend against OSU

He's licking his chops to get leaped by tOSU? Mkay.

Their SOS is currently 75 and yours is 68, pretty similar. They'll play a higher ranked team than you will (Michigan > West Virginia). They'll jump you easily if WVU loses to the Cowboys this weekend as you just predicted. I know you'll take OU's side in any argument regardless of facts but wanted to inject some in there. I think your best hope of making the playoffs is if ND loses. And the midget's chances of winning the Heisman are nil unless Tua gets hurt.

The powers that be want Heisman contender vs Heisman contender and so it is written. And the OSU wont be jumping OU if we beat WV twice

mkay. Looks to me your best chance is for ND to lose. tOSU isn't going to lose to Michigan State and Alabama isn't going to lose. And tOSU will absolutely jump you if they win out.

With three weeks remaining in the college football season (plus Army-Navy and conference championship week), the College Football Playoff picture appears abundantly and unfortunately clear. Alabama, Clemson and Notre Dame look like sure things, and then you can simply insert Michigan or Ohio State, and if you want to get WILD, maybe Oklahoma.

No. 11

(1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State

(2) Clemson vs. (3) Notre Dame

What has to happen

All four teams win out.

Chances?

HIGHLY likely. No one’s beating Alabama or Clemson, and Michigan has not beaten Ohio State in Columbus since THE YEAR 2000. We all know the Buckeyes are getting in despite the Purdue blowout as long as they win out.

Why, yes, a win over Northwestern Trumps a win over a higher ranked WV twice right? Uh ok. Michigan will be a good win though

Haha yes he is just like Murray right? Chucklz.
He's right behind him on the contender's list. Lulz.

I didn't write it. If tOSU wins out, they're in according to that article. Not sure you get credit for beating a team twice btw. So a win over Michigan is better than beating WVU. And they also beat Penn State who's top 15 and Michigan St just outside the rankings. Along with top 20 Northwestern.

Just having fun because I knew you'd take OU's side no matter what the facts are. Just like always.

And I knew you take everyone’s side but OU LOL. Who knows how it will work out. I’d love to see our offense go to the playoff but am horrified by our defense. Our defense has literally squandered 2 potential NC runs

Ha. I posted an independent article and SOS rankings and CFP rankings and Heisman contender rankings. You know, facts. You relied on your bias and misrepresented (either through ignorance or dishonesty - wouldn't be surprised by either) tOSU's other big conference win being top 15 Penn St not Northwestern.

It'll all play out. Still lots of games left to be played. OSU very well could beat WVU. WVU very well could beat OU. Right now, Alabama, Clemson and ND look like shoo-in's for the CFP, but sometimes crazy things happen. Let is play out. Why all of the finger pointing, snide comments and bickering?

Back to the topic at hand - best game of the week? No doubt Baylor vs. TCU. I speak for 100% of the BU alums when I say there is no one we would rather beat than that blow hard Fatterson. We remember when he felt "threatened" on the field after he choked up a 21 point lead in 7 minutes to lose 61-58. We remember "we don't operate like they do down south of here." We see the hypocrisy in how he looked the other way with Turpin. We remember the "one true champion" only to have our spineless commissioner declare co-champions, which became a major talking point in keeping the Bears out of the Final 4. And now - BOTH teams are playing for a bowl. Loser goes home, winner gets a bowl game. We aren't very good --- but motivation can hide a lot of shortcomings. This is going to be great!

Just playing with the dishonest $ooner who’s already thumping his chest about making the playoffs. They’re ridiculous every time there’s a tiebreaker situation of why they belong.

Our opinions mean nothing to the committee means nothing. He’s just stating facts. Nobody in the big 12 will make the playoff. Oklahoma could win out and go. I don’t know who you think makes the decision on the playoffs You earn your way to the
playoffs and that’s a fact. The thing is some teams improve during the season. OU usually does improve.

You can’t just dust away that OSU loss, they got shut out

Northwestern would be in the CCG no? You can’t just discount their awful ranking, that will effect their SOS imo

Penn St is in the top 15 no? How objective of you to ignore that win. But we’ll see. I think the Buckeyes would jump you if you both win out. Maybe ND will lose and help you out. Maybe you’ll luck out.

Scholz, OSU is not going to jump OU if both teams win out. OSU's blow out loss to Purdue was a really bad loss. OU's loss to Texas was a much better loss. It probably won't matter anyway. I think that WVU beats OU in two weeks.

Ohio St. will jump OU if they win out. Book it. Their commissioner and reps on the committee know how to fight. Our commissioner is a spineless jellyfish. OU doesn't have a prayer. FYI - I want a Big XII team in the tournament. Just a realist. We need to dump Bowlsby and get a bulldog.

Sure they Beat Penn State but I’m going off of where OSU Is ranked right now. I’m just saying if they’re trailing OU now, imo, regarding both team’s remaining schedule, I don’t think they’ll jump OU but that just my opinion. Who knows how it will shake out.

I just checked the programming for this weekend. This is going to be a bad weekend for football viewing. The games are atrocious. I don't have LHN so looks like radio will be it...... sucks.

I disagree, but we shall see. OSU's loss to Purdue should be a killer for them.

So maybe a dumb question to a smart crowd. Do I have my math right here? If Texas beats ISU this weekend and OSU beats WVU then we are almost assured a shot in the Big12 champ game? ...assuming we take care of biz against KU.

Never mind. Before some of you smarter guys in the crowd respond my son just informed that a Tex, OU, WV tie will likely go to the bad guys for various stupid reasons. So back to making sure we kick some cyclone arse this weekend and root for one of the other douche bags the following weekend.

Baylor has made progress since the WV disaster. They beat themselves against ISU. To beat OSU after your WV game and after OSU beat TX shows me that maybe, just maybe, Matt Rhule will get it done at Baylor. This is what I think of TCU's season. Shawn Robinson has not panned out and he was replaced by a grad transfer from Yale. Need I say anything more? For some reason I've been on the money in every TCU game this year. Diadevic I'm going to go out on a limb.

Baylor 41
TCU . 17

One last thing. Sometimes I enjoy childish behavior like the Baylor/ISU game. Roberts and Montgomery deserve to be suspended this week. But kicking a qb out of the game? Wth is going on with this? You don't kick qb's out of games. And ISU was taunting Baylor the whole game and the zebras let them get away with it. And why was Hakeem Butler not kicked out? I mean he had #21 completely pinned down.

Belldozer I disagree with you on WV/OSU. WV has been on a mission since their loss to ISU. Their offense is as good as anyone in the Big XII. People talk about Kyler Murray going to the Heisman ceremony next month. Will Grier will be invited. And WV's defense is much better than OSU's. The Mounties will roll on Saturday afternoon in Stillwater.

And guys there is no debating buckeyes/wolverines. MI will win they have the best defense in the country for a good reason. I mean if Purdue can hold them to 20 what are they going to do against MI? And you can take this anyway you want. But since their loss to Clemson two years ago tOSU has lost 4 games by 31,15,31, and 29. MI will beat them by double digits.

WV at Okie Lite: I think the biggest game is WV at Okie Lite. WV wins, but, now that okie lite got their annual loss to ou out of the way, they can focus on WV. I am hoping for a WV victory, but, it will be close.

TCU at Baylor: Low scoring. Too close to call for me.

Mich St at Nebraska: I think Nebraska will beat MSU. Should be a decent game.

Syracuse at ND: I am not calling for an upset, but it wouldn't shock me. Syracuse is quietly 8-2 and ranked 12th. Dino Babers doing a great job.

Tech at KSU: Tech really needs this win for bowl. It will go a long way to see if they are actually improved (in my eyes), even though KSU isn't as good as usual.

Pac 12 has good games. I won't be watching, but, the winners will begin separating themselves. ASU at Oregon, Stanford at Cal, Utah at Colorado. (Strange that USC at UCLA is not relevant)
