Interesting. We have had an average program for the last 12 years or so and as we get a little glimpse of being a decent team and many Texas fans get greedy. All of a sudden Card is the worst QB in the world and isn't good enough. I guess we must have CJ Stroud or Bryce Young as Quinn's backup to satisfy the salivating greedsters. This will be some therapy to behold for whiney Texas fans across the social media world.

To be fair, Card isn’t very good. Great HS QB, but average to below average college qb. I don’t think he starts for any other Big 12 or SEC teams.

I'm fine with card. My post on this team have been fairly positive...I'm not exactly thrilled with our 3rd string playing.. forgive the sour grapes

How many sophomores are starting in the Big 12. Furthermore, tell me about the backups the other schools have. Card is not even good enough as a backup now for our perennial average football program.? I am not saying you have complained but, many tweeters and some on here have bashed him.

I don’t know much about about Wright. I hope he kills it and is better than Card. But, heaven help him for any incompletion or interception the poor kid makes. That element of the Texas fan base’s wrath will descend upon him for not being as good as Quinn.

Well, he is good enough for an average program as a backup. So I guess you’re right.
