Bosch Legacy - Why the daughter

She adds nothing to the show...Daughter momentary in police class..Daughter in police car..Daughter talking to police partner..Daughter momentary talking to Bosch..For what she does in the show she could be left out..To be honest for me her part is distracting from the plot of the show. She isn't needed. Just my opinion.
