Tulo and Weiner are all just super impressive on an individual level.
Schloss has a rep of surrounding himself with elite of the elite coaching talent and after talking to them it is obvious why he and his staff are so well regarded. Tulo and Weiner are bosses and you can sense it within 60 seconds of talking to them. In the Q&A someone asked Schloss how he wanted to be remembered and he had a four word response, “As a national champion”. Boom.
Also got to chat with Chris Ogden. He says don’t sleep on this years hoops team. He was confident this squad is going to make some noise. He also said don’t think for a moment moving to the SEC is a step down from the B12. Don’t forget two of the best programs in the country are now in the SEC. It’s going to be a meat grinder.
All the coaches I spoke with were clear that NIL has changed EVERYTHING and funding needs some juice.
