Texas has had 2 chances to sign this guy and look where we are still ! New report and Baylor has cleared him hence the 15 million dollar hush money to not rat on the higher ups at Baylor. Dropped his defamation lawsuit too!

Interesting enough, speculation that he may go to Liberty, if Freeze leaves. The AD there used to be the AD at Baylor.

He's not going to Tech. Heard from many folks in the know at Tech and THSCA that Tech said nah.
He's still too controversial for a large state school to hire, although I could see Auburn doing it.
he has indeed resigned. that's confirmed. so where does he go? not Texas. too much baggage. agree Auburn would take him. if he's resigned you figure he's already been contacted? Briles wasn't listed in any sports reports about possible replacements at Auburn but those guys are usually off the mark.
you should see some of the possibilities they list for Texas now that it "appears" Meyer isn't interested. this site also claims that both Dan Mullen and Matt Campbell have said they aren't interested either. i guess that means UT has put out feelers to both and were told No.
Mullen wouldn't leave UF. he was there before as OC under Meyer. not calling UF his dream job but he's gotten off to a strong start and UF has the same advantages as Texas in both conference and recruiting in state. and UF has deep pockets too.
as i said in another post Campbell can write his own ticket at Iowa State. no shadows looming over him. and his rep is team and loyalty which if he bolted for UT and a bag full of cash makes him look disingenuous.
this guy doesn't seem to be ranking his choices.

don't care for his in game management. he's taken some heat over it. he does bring recruiting to the table.
Robert Saleh, San Francisco 49ers DC
never heard of him before today. seems to have much more of a track record and some past college than Brady however, if you want to go an NFL guy.
Hugh Freeze, Liberty HC
NO!!!!. just say NO!!! all wrong. this guy is TROUBLE.

It’s not Tech. Doesn’t look like they are firing wells. Just announced they are firing the OC. Not sure they’d do that and then fire the HC, but maybe.

With the list presented, I'd probably keep Herman one more year and then make another push next year for Urban.
If we are set on a move this year my short list would be one or two NFL head coaches and Matt Campbell. Mario is not going to be an option as he is another Tom Herman with a better feel for the offensive line. I'm starting to think we should go after Les Miles 😡
As of right now, my favorite choice is to fire Herman, make Ash the intrum and keep most of the assistants, fire hand, and replace him with someone like Blake Brockermeyer for a short-term fix and Bring back Samples who has been kicking our asses in Dallas area recruiting. Then after a year as an intrum either turn the reigns over to him or bring in a new head coach when one emerges worth offing the job to.

In all honesty a “Herman with a better feel for the OL” probably does pretty well
Yes I’m sure he did as most college coaches do as well ! One player convicted and was already kicked off team.
He lost in the final game for the state championship and resigned two days later,maybe he got tired of living in Mount Vernon,Texas.
