Bryce English Transfer

Former DeSoto defensive tackle standout Bryce English shared some sad news on Twitter on Monday, announcing that he will be transferring from Kansas State after his father was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer.

English, a former Rivals three-star prospect who chose KSU over other finalists SMU, TCU and San Diego State, wrote that he wants to transfer to a school in Texas so he can be closer to his family as his dad battles the disease.

"In efforts to transfer I'll be looking to find a school somewhere in Texas or close that's closer to home so that I can be by my family and my father," English wrote.

English, who redshirted this past season, will have four years of eligibility remaining wherever he transfers to.

Good luck to you and your family Mr. English. Sounds like he's got his priorities straight. I remember watching this kid at Desoto. He was a beast.

I did not know that. He definitely could've helped us this year with all our injuries.

My guess is he will end up at SMU or North Texas, doubt they will allow him to transfer to another Big 12 school.

I was thinking the same thing. He'd be a star at either of those schools.
