He's got to be the preseason favorite. This is what impresses me the most about Bryce Love. Last year in the Alamo Bowl he was injured with a thigh or was it a hamstring injury I can't recall. Anyway against a good TCU defense be ran 69 yards for a td. He couldn't play in the second half but if he had ST would have won. TCU didn't win as much Bryce Love was injured.

So can you imagine how many yards a healthy Bryce Love can gain this year? If healthy he will imo have a 2000 yard season and the Heisman will be his. And he's a model student. And I don't think it's a big deal that he didn't go attend Pac XII media day ha will have a whole season to present himself to the public.

And besides ST is overdue for a Heisman winner. Dyk that since 2009 a ST player has finished second in the Heisman voting 5 times?. See what I mean about overdue.

A healthy Bryce Love will mean a 2018 Heisman winner.

Oh and I forgot to mention in September his team will be playing SC and ND on national tv. So the schedule is perfect for him. If he has great games and ST wins at least one of those games he will make a case for himself because as everyone knows SC and ND are bluebloods.

Look,Love is a nice little back but let’s not get ahead of ourselves and start handing out hardware just yet. I would put Rodney Anderson at the top of the list of best backs in the nation imo, of course.

Love is better than Anderson. Is Anderson even being mentioned in the Heisman conversation?

Anderson is best back from Katy. If he stays healthy he is a first rounder, total package that can block, catch and has power and speed. They also have Sermon...

I’m not sure if Anderson is being mentioned or not yet. I do think he brings a lot considering he’s 6’2”, 223lbs

Depends on who you ask, but if he's not now, he will be midway through the season. Love is rightfully a leader in the Heisman race, dude's a stud. But I think so is Anderson.

I dont know if Love is better than Anderson, maybe. But looking at the stats, its not far off. Anderson started 8 games last year so going with the last 8 games of stats:

Bryce Love- 1058 total yards from scrimmage, 11 touchdowns. 132 yards per game. 6.24 yards per carry.

Rodney Anderson - 1333 total yards from scrimmage, 16 touchdowns, 166 yards per game. 6.53 yards per carry.

And Love was probably the best rb in the country last year, so I think Anderson stacks up pretty well to him.

Wth are you talking about? Bryce Love gained 2118 yards last year!!! It only took him 5 games to get to the 1000 yard mark. Did you even bother to check the facts?

Yes indeed he did have 2118 yards rushing last year. But in the final 8 games he had 1058 total yards from scrimmage. So, that's what i'm talking about. And for what it's worth, during that 8 game span Anderson led the nation in yards (or was one of the top few) from scrimmage with 1333.

Back tracking a bit, I might recommend you re-read my post. Most specifically the part about how Anderson has started the final 8 games of the season, so I compared what Anderson did in those games he started to the same final 8 games in which Love started. It seemed more appropriate to compare the same number of starts together because Anderson was still getting over 2 years of injuries in the first part of last season.

Yeah, I don't know what he was looking at. He had about that 1050 in his first two years combined. Maybe got the name wrong on accident.

Looking at the last 8 games each guy played because Anderson didnt start until about midway through the season

I went back and "reread" as you recommended. You know what there is nothing more pathetic than grading on the curve. Even more so when it's for self serving reasons.

And you want to about injuries? Go back and "reread" my thread starter about what Bryce Love did when he was injured and not just in the Alamo Bowl but in the Pac XII title game as well.

Dude, you're lame.

Taylor is hard because Wisconsin is so unassuming and their offense lacks that "excitement" but I'll be he at least matches last year if not goes over 2k and 20+ TDs

Browing and Washington look loaded up for another run at a playoff spot. 17 starters back but they lose their #1 receiver. I think Washington will open it up a bit for Browning. If they beat Auburn week 1 and win the Pac 12 then he will at least be in NYC

Bryce Love - just see your original post

Khalil Tate - Arizona has the talent on offense to have a big year under Sumlin. As good as RichRod has been in some places, I think he lost some mojo. We'll see if the same thing happened to Sumlin. 4 of their top 5 receivers are back and with more passes called I don't think it is out of the question that Tate throws for 3k and runs for 700 or so. 40 total TDs is likely as well. He went for 3k total yards last year and 26 TDs.

Jarrett Stidham - Every single receiver for Auburn returns and Stidham will reap the rewards. I'm thinking about having Auburn winning the SEC West this year because of their ability to throw the ball and the fact Alabama lost everyone in the 2ndary. However, Auburn does have to travel TO Georgia and Alabama in a 3 week span. If Stidham progresses on a normal scale and throws for 3500 and 30 TDs then he will be in NYC.

One thing is for sure, there is no real front runner like the beginning of last year.

Dude, you're lame.

Dude didnt get his first start til the 7th game of the season. So I counted stats from game 7 on, and did so for Love. Sounds a lot more fair to assess 8 games of action in which both guys started. How is that lame? It is absolutely worth noting what Anderson has done with his starting time and the point i am making is he's proven to be one of the nation's most elite backs as good as guys like Love.

Vegas has Rodney Anderson as 25/1 to win the Heisman. I may just throw $10 on that for shits and gigs...you just about have me convinced.

However, they have Kyler Murray at 16/1 so that makes me a bit nervous...that Vegas would have a guy with almost no experience over a back who went for 1400 yards in just over a half a season of starts.

I have a ton of respect for Rodney Anderson that he stuck it out after the neck injury and then had such a great year.

To the guy that said he is a 1st rounder if he stays healthy. I'm thinking early to mid 2nd round.

I don't care about his Heisman odds in July, i'm just saying he's right up there and just as good as the top level of rbs in CFB. Having Murray with better odds just comes to show how silly the hype is in the beginning of the season anyway. I dont really think much of anything really means a whole lot until october.

I like odds in July because a legitimate threat to win is 25/1. That's worth a flyer.

I just assumed you were being sarcastic. Hell at 25/1 it might be worth throwing a few bucks on it. I usually dont like to bet on my favorite teams but he could be a finalist. I think though he'd be less likely to win because Wisconsin and Stanford will more center their offense around their rbs. Too much depth at too many positions on offense I think will prevent him from getting as many rush yards. But overall yards hmmm

You're biased because you're an OU fan. Anderson isn't going to win it. If he were the feature back and didn't have to split carries with Serman, he might be in the conversation at some point, but that's not the case.

I think Anderson, Murray and Sermon will all split Heisman votes this year and cancel each other out allowing Love or some other to win.

Well this bias of mine didnt make me say he'd win it, I just said he could make himself a finalist though. Sermon wont make it any easier for sure

Well, I may throw $10 down to win $250 on a guy that ran for 1200 yards last year in essentially half a season. If he gets 250 carries then look for him to at least be in NYC. Also, I'm thinking that OU won't blow as many opponents out this year and thus 250 carries isn't out of the question...also he won't miss 5 games worth of carries either if healthy.

And if he doesn't? Who gives a shit...he's a sooner.
