Finalizing paperwork tomorrow to buy a midsize Imported “higher end” SUV. They have offered me the “opportunity” to pre-pay $ 3,400 for a 4 year maintenance package that supposedly covers “all” routine maintenance Not covered under the car’s 4 year, 50,000 mile warranty. Supposedly covers: 1 oil change every 10,000 miles (which is what they tell you is expectation), 1 tire alignment (seems like I would need them more often than just once in 40,000 miles), etc,…. I’m really Not a car guy. Should I do this or say No and pay as I go ? They claim doing this would save me at least 25 % over the 4 years - especially since I’m locking in today’s prices vs. price increases over the next 4 years. Your thoughts.
