Serious note. BYU spanked Tech last week but it was mainly from TT turning the ball over 5 times. BYU is not a good team...even just running the ball and getting ...idk maybe 200 yards passing we should win easy

If MM goes, then I expect us to be run heavy and mix in some passing. Preferably deep shots because it appears that he has really good feel for deep passes. If we stay simple, then the more talented and deeper team should win.
If MM can't go and Arch is the man, who knows what we see out of Sark. I'm thinking it will be more like when QE is in the game based on Arch's willingness to pull the ball down and run.

Run heavy with some bombs mixed in. MM has the best deep ball of the QBs and that will help keep the safeties back if used. MM is also good at the out patterns, due to his arm. Most will likely be 1-2 read type plays to make it easier for MM.
The defense will give up a few here and there, but BYU is very bad on offense. Whereas UH is 20th in the nation in passing, BYU is closer to 100th.

For the last couple of days I've been thinking that since conference play started we have been penalized more than the other team. We weren't penalized much until the Oklahoma game and then we get called for 9 and 7 against Houston? And Houston only gets called once. No one we play gets called gets called for more then 4 penalties.
Now penalties are a matter of discipline. I'm not silly I don't think there's a conspiracy. But these last 2 games and probably the rest of the season have shown me they're going to be hard on us and go easy on the other team. Do I have proof? No but I do think there's a deep seeded about Texas leaving.
Now let's send those BYU boys back to the Wasatch mountains with their tail between their legs.

OU wasn’t supposed to score over 30. Texas was fortunate Houston didn’t score 30.
This defense is overrated, especially in the 2ndary. They are big play prone. We aren’t getting to the QB anymore.

BYU is going to regress to the mean.. they have been getting a lot of turnovers. They are due to have some turnovers. I think this one is close at halftime and a blowout late.

I didn’t dispute what you said. I don’t think they will score 27 unless Texas lights it up and BYU scores some late. I am certainly not good at predicting outcomes which is why I don’t bet on 18-22 year olds.

Vegas opened at -21. Not much action covering the spread. And Texas is constantly at the top of the books for betting volume.
For that spread to only drop 1 point since it opened tells me that Vegas either knows something we don't--- or your average college football gambler is a fvcking idiot.
I mean-- let's be honest- our RBs are decent but they aren't total work horses. So we aren't going to pile up 350 yards rushing. And what has Swoopes..errrrrr Murphy done on the football field thus far? Nada
So what's going on?
I think BYU plays into our strengths. They don't have much of a passing offense or a mobile QB. We've been solid stopping the run. I have no clue what our offense will do this week but it Murphy can at least complete some passes to keep them from fully selling out to stop the run we should be fine. If Murphy sucks it will be a long day.

Oddsmakers always know something. With our starting QB out and questions over murphys durability I see a closer game especially with our history against them. I’d be happy if we blow them out though.
I suppose you guys know that Sarkisian played for BYU. But did you he was the qb on probably the best team in school history? He led them to a 12/1 season and capped it off with a Cotton bowl victory over Kansas State. And although he played at BYU he's not Mormon he's Armenian Irish Catholic.
I saw UT open at -20.5, line dropped to -16.5 and is now back up to -20.5
