could this have been a planned terrorist attack? I ask this because I used to live in Sherman Oaks for only one year. But in that time, I saw a few brush fires in the Malibu Canyons as I was cycling. Two decades later, I was discussing terrorism possibilities with a colleague (Ph.D. Chemistry/Statistics), and I raised the possibility about just this method of attack. I stated that the Oakland fires jumped the freeway and caused tremendous damage. What could stop a similar event in L.A. where multiple locations were set ablaze?
