If Texas had rested starters against A&M, we'd be 10-2 with a fully healthy team ready to rip through the playoffs as a 5-8 seed with a home game.

By not resting starters against A&M, and then losing to Georgia, Texas is 11-2, bruised and battered with some key injuries, and licking its wounds heading in to the playoffs as a 5-8 seed with a home game.

Key injuries sustained in the A&M and Georgia games:

Kelvin Banks Jr - Injured in A&M game, did not play in Georgia game - status for playoffs unknown. Kelvin is probably the top NFL prospect on the team and a likely top 10 pick. Had we rested starters against A&M, and lost, he'd be healthy for the playoffs.
Isaiah Bond - left game against Georgia after an ugly looking leg roll up and was later seen in a walking boot with a crutch. Status for playoffs unknown. Bond is one of the most explosive players on the team and has been a big weapon this season. Bond is a likely top 2 rounds of the NFL draft guy. Had we rested starters against A&M, he'd be available for the playoffs presuming a loss to A&M.

Both of these players would be healthy and ready to go for the playoffs had we rested starters against A&M.
