Charlie Brewer needs to retire

I want and hope he retires. They say he's had 3 concussions. I'm sure last night was his 4th those two against OK and GA looked really scary.Last night they said he had to spend a week in dark room after the OK game. Last night looked really bad. For some reason the little ten zebras did not kick the GA player or of the game. Yes he for called for a penalty but it was also targeting.

I have a lot of respect for that young man CB. His father played qb for TX during the Fred Akers era and CB is just like his dad all he does is beat you. Baylor won a lot of close games this year and CB was the reason. I really hope he does the right thing.

I agree with the sentiment, but it wasn't targeting. He gave him a late shove in the chest and he hit his head on the turf.

I was working a Lake Travis game back in the day and Charlie came up to me and just started talking. Had questions about what work I was doing, etc...seemed like a really good kid...I think he can walk away from the game and do whatever he wants.

I stand corrected. I watched CB suffer those concessions against OK and GA and I got upset.

Man I am with you - the guy has done so much for BU - he accepted an offer at our darkest moment when few others would. He led us back to relevancy and a Sugar Bowl birth. No one will fault him if he retires now - he will be a folk hero forever. So many concussions - and the frequency of the injuries - this does not look like a sound long term career path.

Charlie Brewer looks so skinny, even for a QB. Has he tried to gain weight or does it interfere with his playing ability (slow him down & alter his throwing motion)?

The one thing he doesn't do is throw the ball away. I'm afraid that has played a part with his concussions.
