Clemson's 2020 consensus #1 recruit Brian Bresee 6'5 305 looks like a beast out there.

I know Clemson's qb is a 5* from the 2020 class, but I don't think he will live up to the hype. I know many Clemson fans are not very happy with him. They have another 5* Westlaker waiting in the wings.

the clemson folks were booing the qb in 1q. they got the ball on the 5 and had to score it on 4th down. they finally put together a decent drive and the announcers talked about how it was a great drive by the qb. but most of the drive was swing screens to the rb. westlake kid needs to get ready

DJ is a bust. Dabo can't stick with him all season. At some point he's going to have to bring in Klubnik.

Don't read too much into my analogy, but when he throws the ball, I have flashbacks of our man Swoopes. Like a slow rigid release.

GT has been in Clemson's backfield all night. Yes, DJ sucks, but their OL isn't very good.

Clemp sucks
Meh....... they don't suck..... per se..... but they ain't what they've been by any stretch. They'll still hang 10 in the win column. I'd like to suck like that.

Btw--- don't we have someone in here who's kid is going to Georgia Tech?

I remember Freeper talking about it a couple of years ago, but not sure if he ended up changing schools.

Damn you boys have long memories. My boy is indeed at Georgia Tech about to finish his degree in Aerospace Engineering. I actually went out there to watch Climpson when Trevor Lawrence came to Bobby Dodd Stadium and hung half a hundred + on the home team. Fortunately we were with some friends who were Climpson boosters and they bought all the beer and took us out for steaks apres game....

Little different coming into a game where your team is up 30+ points. No pressure involved there.
True, but that was also his first college snaps, and he looked incredibly sharp. Even more impressive arm than Ewers.

His arm is not more impressive than Ewers to me. I get it though, you've made it clear you don't think Ewers is that good.

I actually feel better about Ewers after actually seeing him play. Still don’t see him as a Heisman type, but again I hope I’m wrong.

Ewers had like 2 snaps before this season...

And no, Klubnick doesn't have Ewers arm talent.

That said, I wouldn't be upset if we had to "settle" for Klubnick, lol.
We’ll see. Guess I’m a little disappointed because all year I’ve heard what a great deep ball Ewers throws, only for him to look no better than Card with the deep ball in his first game. Hoping it was just adrenaline overload.

You're overreacting to 2 passes. Let him at least play a few games before you give up on the kid. He hasn't played a meaningful game in over 2 years. I promise you by the end of the year you're going to be glad he's our QB. He's a special talent. That being said Klubnik is a special talent as well.

I’m not giving up on him. I’m just taking a more wait and see approach. Keep in mind there could be a little battered fan syndrome at work here, too. 😂

I totally get it. The last 12 years have left us all scarred a little bit.

He threw the best deep out I've seen....... ever in burnt orange. Better than Simms-- and ge had a cannon. Way better than Colt. And yes, much better than Vince.

Kid has a laser.

Jesus Christ. Have I really become more negative than clob?

I thought one of Ewer's more impressive throws was on the seam route to sanders in 3rd. Play action, pump fake slide forward d in the pocket over LB under safety.

I thought that was his best throw of the night. The ball placement on that throw was insane. I also liked that little dump off he had to Sanders near the sideline. He showed awareness using his eyes and a pump fake to manipulate the defender closing in on him.

One of the things that really stands out to me about him is he always has his eyes downfield. He also seemed to be getting through his progressions after he settled in. Looked like he was hitting his 3rd and 4th read at times there in the 3rd quarter. After re watching the game though it looked like he missed a couple of deep shots he could have had to Worthy.
