I had a redeye flight to Europe that left at 7p EST, and the last thing I saw on the airport TV was CNN declaring in red news alert format:
Trump Campaign Sources: Internal Models Indicate Trump Will Not Win (or something to that effect).
So then I board the plane, and unplug for 6 or 7 hours thinking its a HRC landslide. I land at 2:00a EST, and power up the phone to see if they called it for her yet.
Before I can even open a browser, I see a text from my brother saying Dow futures are down 500pts, and I immediately know something dramatic happened.
So with this CNN headline they originally ran on the internal model.... I highly doubt any Trump campaign source would have put that out last night. It just makes zero sense, given their data had to show reasons to be optimistic, and the fact that there were still polls open.
When did CNN start to acknowledge things were turning?
Crazy time to have been in the air. The world changed.
