What percentage would you say come to play ball and to hell with the education?

How many of them think that way? Probably over 50%. How many of them should? Like 5%

ESPN should do a 30 for 30 documentary on college football players that do not get drafted. It would be fascinating to see how they end up. Might want to do it at a distance as it could be dangerous.
So less than 2% of college football players make it to the NFL? Probably a bit higher at the big schools.I'd say 100% come to play ball and probably 60-70% are thinking pro and to hell with education.

No dude...... we get it.Big difference today......I went to college so I WOULD NOT GET drafted !
Oh wait, were y'all talking about the NFL draft?
If you want to see how rediculous this is, check the roster which shows the majors. Sadly, there are too many on our team I never heard of that are majoring in crap like...Youth and Community Studies.....and Physical Culture and Sports...and...Communication and Leadership...
I begin to see how Stanford can out recruit us for brainy talent...

And I'm under the impression that the graduation rates for female athletes on scholarship is high. Obviously sports like softball aren't as demanding on your time like fb but still.....

Softball also doesn't have the mirage of making millions as a pro athlete. I'll bet the female athletes are much more aware of that and thus their first priority is the degree.

There isn't a big difference in the academic quality at UT vs Stanford.
The challenging majors are there if UT players want to pursue them, though. Stanford's just too appealing of an option for an academic high performer, especially when the program is competing at a high level in football.
The only thing Texas do to mitigate Stanford's recruiting advantage with those players is to return to the national elite in football. It would also help if Shaw would GTFO (to the NFL) and the next few coaches could take the program back to the 1980s.
There isn't a big difference in the academic quality at UT vs Stanford. The biggest difference is that Stanford can reject 96% of its applicants and UT rejects 70% of its applicants. Plenty of Stanford football players majoring in Science, Tech and Society and Media Studies.
FB....I suspect you might be the only one on this board to understand what I said.
