ND still has a lot of questions on defense. Losing what little faith I had in BVG. Silver lining ND no longer has a QB controversy. Kizer is the man and should have been.

Thank you, while I'm disappointed, I'm not dejected. ND has found their QB. Can't help but to think of what ifs. Sucks for Zaire, kid has been the quintessential teammate. Blows to lose your starting job to injury. But Kizer is most definitely superior. ND lost at least 6 possessions with Zaire at QB.

When Hunter went out, ND play calling went somewhat conservative, as most of the rest of the receivers are very young and inexperienced.

ND is not done, but the path is very difficult now. Look at Ou last year, O$U two years before. And even Stanford put together a phenomenal year last year with a 1st game road loss and even a second loss.

Zaire is a very good college QB. He benefited from Fuller stretching the defense opening up the run game more than what he had tonight. His problem is reading defenses pre-snap. But is very crafty and athletic post snap. Kizer is exceptional pre,-snap and very good post snap. Plus at 6'4" he is very big, strong and has deceptive speed.
