From Jeff Traylor interview...

Q: As somebody who has coached and been around the game for a long time, do you have any feelings on the idea of the ‘purity of the sport,’ or wanting to keep some of those advertisements or revenue generators more separate from the competition?

A:
That stuff is gone. That day is over. We have to let it go. In my opinion, at the Alamodome, if let’s say (UTSA receiver) Willie McCoy scores a touchdown, his picture should go up on the screen. There should be a QR code right beside it, and everybody who wants to donate to Willie right there, do it. If (kickoff specialist) Tate Sandell kicks the ball out of the back of the end zone, then put his picture up there. If we run the ball in the end zone, say (running back) Robert Henry. Put his picture up there with a QR code, and then put all five linemen up there next with all of their QR codes. I think that’s where the game is. In the bathrooms, while you’re taking a leak, it should be there. QR code. You're not making the fans do it. It's a choice. They're choosing whether they want to do it or not. That's where the game is, and if we don’t get involved in it, it’s going to go right past us. And if you lose momentum in this business, it’s very, very hard to recapture it. It's very hard. And we’ve had an amazing ride.

I hope this won't happen, but how many of you would be tempted to donate like that, especially after a few beers? Downside is the OL wouldn't get much.
