Each week after we eek out win after win Riley says in his press conference “well so and so is a dang good football team I don’t care what anyone says and it took a lot of guts for us to walk away with a win”

yeah to an extent I understand what he means but at the same time he said it after the ISU win (they are 6-5), he said it after Kansas (I believe they have 3 wins) and on and on. I don’t know if it’s a defense mechanism of his or if he really believes they are good teams regardless of what their record indicates. If it’s the latter, then his inner Tech retard alter ego is much much bigger and controlling of him than I thought

Some of its just coach speak, but its easier to say positive things about an opponent that than to risk coming off as disparaging and end up in Social Media hell. BTW, everyone does it. I've seen Nick Saban talking up Georgia State.
