His first year went 2-7 at Baylor immediately fired his underperforming Offensive Coordinator and hired the guy from BYU and in his second year competing for conference championship with a new Quarterback and system. That my friends is what’s called good coaching no excuses!!!

No doubt Aranda has completely turned Baylor around. What's even more impressive is he's doing it with 2 & 3 stars players. They are definitely headed in the right direction. Hopefully Baylor can hang onto him.

The question I have with Baylor is how involved was Joey McGuire, particularly in the recruiting game, and how much did Aranda lean on him. So with him going to Tech is that going to suddenly create a recruiting gap around the Texas High Schools? To be honest, if I'm a Tech fan, I'm hoping Aranda goes elsewhere as it would provide some validation of McGuire's importance and role in Baylor's current success.

he also hit the transfer portal hard. I think most of Baylor’s OL(if not all) is from the portal

Only 3 transfers on their starting 22 and 2 of them are on the offensive line. 18/22 starters are upper classmen and are Matt Rhule's guys for the most part. Next year will be the year to see what Aranda is made of with a lot of new faces starting. They have to replace 15 starters for next season.

Yeah. I knew most of their team was upperclassman. Sounds like he may not be there next year. Might end up at LSU. I think Sark will do the same thing I think 2-3 at Least of the starting OL will transfers

Briles can run circles around Aranda for offensive recruits especially receivers. Aranda is a heck of a defense coach imo though and appears to be a good head coach too

Alot of BU alums were skeptical of Aranda after last year. He took a team coming off a Sugar Bowl, with a ton of returning experience, and led us to 2-7. Consider him redeemed after this year. I agree with those saying he is doing it with Rhule's guys. We shall see how he fares going forward, but all indicators are that he is landing solid recruiting classes. His defense has been off the charts this year. Offense is vanilla. Kind of like the SEC... used to be.
