Here's some perspective:
  1. Texas was floundering in absolute purgatory before Sark got the job. Our coaching personnel and resumes inspired no one, including recruits.
  2. He's positioned Texas for its best season since '09.
  3. Our brand, national profile, and recruiting are close to the Mack Brown "salad days" levels and we're continuing to trend, which was a problem for Sark's predecessors.
  4. And here's the big money point - Yup, Sark isn't perfect. He's got some flaws. Those flaws may ultimately preclude us from winning a national title under him. But, what if he proves to be our Mark Richt (see his 15-year track record at Georgia). Richt had some good teams oozing with talent. However, he couldn't get over the hump. This ultimately cost him the job. But, he positioned Georgia to be the Georgia they are under Kirby Smart. Sark has Texas more well-positioned to lever up than any coaching era we've had since Mack Brown. This is an amazing position to be in. For anyone thinking progress in a return to national prominence is linear; you're fooling yourselves. Let this thing play out. I'm grateful we have Sark and he deserves the support of our fan base!

Update: 10 win Sark :)
