I can understand an honest debate about spending priorities what I can’t understand is how anyone could feel okay about the level of debt/deficit (plus entitlement obligations). What is being left for future generations to deal with is immoral. The debt ceiling is there for a reason to force the conversation. It’s time to have that conversation.
