8:25 p.m. update - Per a source, Carson did in fact make it by UT for a visit today. That's obviously good news for the Longhorns.

Texas DE commitment LaGaryonn Carson tweeted that he's on his way to Austin.
I checked with a source who confirmed that Carson is en route, but it's still a bit up in the air whether or not he'll make it in due to the weather.
Carson has been trying to get to UT a few times over the course of the spring/summer, including most recently for the Under the Lights camp, but has had issues finding transportation.
Obviously, getting him on campus will be big for Texas, but there's no real reason to worry about Carson anyway. Other schools do continue to recruit him, but he's pretty solid with his UT commitment.
