A Harris County grand jury has declined to charge Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson over allegations of harassment and sexual misconduct.
For the Texans, no. In the league, definitely.
Tainted, yes. Someone will trade for him. It’s the nfl, some have done worse (Ray Lewis), and still played.
Oh he'll be playing again for sure. The fact that a grand jury failed to indict is very telling. Generally, prosecutors should be able to get an indictment from a grand jury if the factual allegations are strong enough to support the charges. The fact they declined to indict means they had no case on its face. I'm perplexed that the DA would bring this to the grand jury. If they had no evidence to support the charges they shouldn't have pursued this case. Seems like this may have been politically driven.
If I was a betting man, I would lay my money on Rusty Harden. He's the Michael Jordan of defending POS.

I’m going to refrain from labeling him a POS until I know there are proven facts that he either committed a crime or is found to be civilly liable to any woman. I don’t know any of the facts or details from the 21 women suing him. All I know is that a grand jury didn’t see anything worth pursuing from a criminal perspective. That says a lot. To me, it now just looks like these women are trying to squeeze him for money out of revenge for him screwing around on all of them. Did he lie to them and hurt their feelings? Probably but there’s no legal liability if they can’t prove they suffered actual damages from his conduct with them. If he got several of them pregnant and isn’t paying child support then I would agree that he’s a POS. But I haven’t seen any facts like that.
We have to be very careful about automatically believing what you read and hear about someone just because it’s on cable news and social media. Anybody can sue anyone for any reason. It doesn’t mean the allegations are true. I bet if he were not a famous athlete there would be no litigation with high profile attorneys involved. I won’t be surprised that his defense lawyers will now be filing cross claims against all these women for making frivolous claims. He’s going to go on offense against them and will force them and their attorneys to prove every allegation and if they can’t prove anything he would be in a good position for recovering his damages and attorneys fees from them.
Let the facts play out and let’s see where the facts take this case. In the meantime, he should be able to restore his NFL career.
Nah! He’s gonna play. NFL has no morals when it comes to any of this kind of stuff. As long as you can put butts in the seats they’ll have you playing. Michael Vick, Ray Lewis, Chris Lammins, Alvin Kamara, etc… so many NFL players have rap sheets but still play. Deshaun wasn’t even arrested.
I'm not a Texans or Watson fan, but the market just shot up hugely for what Watson will get on the trade market. I think that he'll be traded no later than Wednesday and the Texans will get three #1's and other additional picks for him.
I guess you saw the Russell Wilson trade. Wow did you see the draft picks Seattle got? If they draft right they'll be set for a long time.

If they draft anything like they have in the last 6 years then they won’t be set at all lol. Probably one of the worst drafting franchises of the last 6-7 years. They likely use those picks to try and go after Watson.
