Seems like your white quarterback is the one pulling his weight on your team this season. Surprised you boys are giving your blatantly racist hero a pass on this one.
I'm going to address you like an adult would though I feel you're trolling.
Earl is many things. Articulate is not one of them. He's never been a wordsmith. I've spent an inordinate around of time around him starting in college and then for years after. The two men on this planet that Earl loved more than anyone other than his momma were Darrel Royal and Bum Phillips. He called them his "dads" because he grew up without one. He had true love in his heart for those two men. I have seen on too many occasions the mutual admiration those two men and he had for each other.
That's not what racist people do or how racist people act. Period.
I can say with complete confidence that what Earl did a poor job of articulating was this:
Black quarterbacks, on average, are faster and have quicker feet than white quarterbacks. And----- he's right.
Black quarterbacks can scramble, on average, better than white quarterbacks thus extending the play thus giving the offense more time to make something happen.
And---- he's right.
Yes, there are outliers-- Johnny Manziel, Baker Mayfield etc. But there have been WAY more mobile black QBs in college that have had success than mobile white QBs.
The problem with what Earl said is its true, and you just don't like the way he said it. I didn't like the way he said it either, but having dealt with old school Earl on many occasions, I know what he was trying to say.
Now, if you feel the need to make a snap judgement about a man who was a lion on the field and a kitten off it, just because he grew up in a poor home and isn't a wordsmith, then you're simply looking for a reason to be offended.
And if you're looking for a reason to play the victim, or be offended by something that was poorly worded by a man who bashed his head in to entertain people on a football field, then the problem isn't Earl. The problem sir, is you.
