Ewers lack of mobility/ability to scramble was one of Texas' major shortcomings in the loss to Georgia. He is a great pocket passer, but needs the time to pinpoint his downfield throws. The Georgia DL pressure forced the dump passes, which allowed their DBs to cheat up close and make sure tackles.

Texas' Ol line was responsible for the majority of this, but there were several times where Ewers could have broken from the pocket and gained 5-10 critical yards. Georgia's coaches picked up on pressure being the key to stopping the Texas offense - which was predictable and painful to watch. Georgia's 4-5 star DBs also allowed very little separation which led to the dump passes.

Horns need to shore up the OL and figure out some way to get the ball downfield. Great WRs are only great when they can get the ball. JMO
