How did Briles cause a shitstorm at Grambling? He did nothing that I'm aware of.

You guys just don't get it. He was hired in the CFL then resigned a few days later. There's still more to this story than we know. And you think Doug Williams is the only ex player that was against this think again. People don't want this man.
And wth people on here hated Art Briles. First he voted for OK a few years ago. Then there was the scandal and you guys called him Art Viles. And now you're singing his praises? Look Art Briles was about nothing but offense and uniform combinations. Defense, special teams, and penalties never concerned him but in the biggest game of his Baylor career that's exactly what cost Baylor.
And under Dave Arranda Baylor is the exact opposite. In other words they're playing fb the right way.
Nobody is clamoring for the man. Just think he deserves a second chance. 4 of Briles last 5 seasons at Baylor were 10+ win seasons. Until Aranda can achieve that I would hold off on saying he's a better coach than Briles.
It's really funny as a society how we pick and choose who can have second chances and who can't.

This right here. Everyone deserves a second chance. Coach Briles has paid his dues for what he was accused of at Baylor. There seems to be a double standard and a different set of rules in some people's minds. If the man wants to coach, he should get that opportunity now.
Screw Bryles....He is lower than whale poop and deserves all the ridicule he has EARNED. His 2008vote against Texas as even a top 20 team is all I need to know.

One player convicted of sexual assault. No player ever played a down after being charged with sexual assault. Baylor trustees wrote a letter stating that he never had any contact with a sexual assault victim. NCAA turned over every pebble, and found no rules violations by Briles.

And Briles was exonerated at Baylor after the investigation. Yet some people want to see his life and career ruined, while others in sports and entertainment who have made mistakes get multiple chances and that seems to be ok with them.
So your feelings are hurt because you didn't like it because he didn't vote for Texas in the playoffs? That, and combined with his transgressions at Baylor, which again, he was exonerated and his contract paid in full, you think that he "should burn in hell". Wow. Do you feel that other celebs, players, coaches, etc. should "burn in hell" too who have made mistakes and never get a second chance?
Sorry, when you condone and run cover for dozens of rapes, you get ZERO 2nd chances.

PS, I can find zero evidence Briles was exonerated, in fact I did find Briles' admission he "did wrong' (his words) and bad things happened on his watch.

if there was so much evidence then why was there only 1 conviction? Briles was a scapegoat for the higher ups.
Kaperknick was a self aggrandizing knuckle head but to my knowledge was never even remotely involved in violence towards women.

Tons of people get second chances every single day. Hell even murderers get second chances. Doesn’t mean we have to agree with what they did.

Not only was he convicted, he had that conviction over turned only to have the conviction re-instated.

He has NOTHING to do with the criminal justice reform movement and everything to do with being a POS rapist
