First question, and this is important: Being from West Virginia, do you have all of your teeth?
Second question: There's no moonshine here so will you settle for a place that serves "just whiskey and beer" with your steak?

Lots of great places to get a good steak in Austin, but I recommend Vince Young's place. It's a place you can't visit anywhere else, so take it in.

If you want Italian, try Mandola's market, there two locations one In a shopping center called the Triangle and the second off Bee Cave south of Austin.

Avoid 6th street it's more of a college kids thing. There are some nice more upscale places on commerce, if you are a jazz fan go to the Elephant Room, they have great Jazz. If you want something European, try the Russian House can't beat a place that offers free vodka shot as part of your appetizer.

Most important Austin is about Music and BBQ, Franklins, Stubbs, La barbecue, and the Salt Lick are all worth a trip.

The best Sports Bar around the area is behind the HEB Store in Llano, Texas not far from the city and even has a shuttle to DKR for the WV game..Good Luck!

Cooper's on congress!

Coopers "ORIGINAL" has 4 locations.

1st. Llano- the first coopers -- then came
2nd New Braunfels--- followed by
3rd Fort Worth Stock Yards and finally,
4th Austin on 3rd and Congress

The coopers out in west texas is a 2nd cousin that stole the name and had to remove the "old time country bbq" from his sign via court order. Since his name is Cooper, he can call it Cooper's bbq. Just can't call it "old time country" bbq. It's garbage.

Thanks for the info and suggestions...other than clob94 being a dick for a moment I appreciate the info.

A regular Martin and Lewis, my friend.

How do you know my last name...lol. All is good, I live in Pittsburgh so I am used to the Pitt fans throwing out teeth....or "tooth" jokes all the time....trying to defend their failing program of the last 30 years.

Oh Jesus if I'd have known you lived in Pittsburgh I'd have skipped the cousin fvcking jokes and gone straight to the Pittsburgh jokes...

Winning material in herra! He had to know if you had your teeth or if it was down to one toof for gnawing on good meat... Good form Clob.

Congrats to your Mountaineers, for beating those conference turncoats, Mizzou.

Expecting Clob to change is like expecting a dog to quit chasing cars, I guess.

Go right ahead...I need some new material.
Off the top of my head.........here goes:

Be careful walking down to the "crik" to "warched" your clothes because it's "slippy" outside you jaggoff.

wv83, how do you feel about y'alls game this weekend? It would be a nice boost for the Big 12 for y'all to get a W over Tennessee. Hopefully their game last week wasn't a fluke.
