I predict the SEC has more invites than the BIG10 & BIG12 combined. Just kidding, it's the off season and I miss the smack talk.
I actually want to see how the Metcalf kid from Ole Miss performs. Kid is a WR and looks like the incredible hulk. If he runs a sub 4.5, oh my. He is bigger than a lot of DE's, and jacked like a bodybuilder. Also want to see if he passes his piss test.
Yep. He looks like a freak. I just am struggling to believe he can run built like that, if he's clean.
I think that Ed Oliver, UH d-lineman, is going to blow it up at the combine.
Great link, Clob. It points out that his father and grandfather were both NFL players for 6+ seasons each. One of his uncles is Longhorn great and 3 time Pro-Bowler Eric Metcalf (a whopping 13 seasons in the NFL).
Maybe he doesn't need drugs to look like that... What do the women in his DNA line look like, I wonder.

Kyler will measure at 5'10 or a little under at 5'9 & 3/4. Im most interested in what he runs his forty in, at OU spring testing last year he ran a sub 4.3 and was named fastest man on his team during offseason. Think about that... think about all those burners on that team, and he was the fastest. Amazing. That's why im curious to see what he runs with legit lasers and tech on him, I still think he runs in the 4.4's. Predicting fastest QB of all time at combine, breaking Vicks record.
Will be interesting to see all the measures. Russel Wilson is the go to guy when they compare short QBs but he measured 5'11 215 and he has really big hands 10 and 1/4 inch. Murry will be something like 5'9 maybe 195 and I have no clue about hand size. The other thing that is really important for QBs is the interview. Apparently Mayfield killed it in the interviews and was really impressive talking about how to attack certain coverages on the white board.
Easy prediction: a player that has dominated on the field all throughout college will test poorly in Indy and slip down the boards. He'll get drafted a couple rounds lower than he should but then look great in the pros. People will question how much stock we should be putting into the combine.

Yeah, I always have a general curiosity about the results from the combine but I don't really put much stock in it anymore. I've been tricked too many times before by blazing fast 3 cone drills and great verticals.
I agree with some of the comments about the combine. Looking good in shorts and no shirt, lifting, jumping, etc., is one thing, but playing football is another. I'll take a great football player all day long over a workout phenom.

But let's talk about all the Texas Longhorns that will get drafted or sign free agent contacts. 8 seniors and all but Hager will have the opportunity. Counting LJ 6 players on the offense will be eligible. I think LJ and Beck will get drafted but I don't know about the rest. But then again I'm just a fan. But imo I think we'll see 9 longhorns who will get a chance to play in the NFL. No none of them will go in the first round but in our case it won't matter.
The last few years the Texas Longhorns have sent few players to the NFL. It started to change last year and it will definitely be noticed this year. Among the P5 conferences with players in the NFL the Big XII is last and they're not even close to 4th place. The answer is simple Big XII defenses suck. But our Longhorns will no longer be a part of the problem. After the SB coach Herman said that this may end up as his best senior class because he said if we continue to climb their impact will be huge.

Damn! I'm shocked, lol! He doesn't look 5' 10" at all. He looks about 5' 7".
There's lots of stretching and crazy techniques that go into it. I think he's more of a legit 5'9 &1/2ish. For about a week Baker went to some specialist to stretch his back out and was said to have gained almost an inch of height from his spine being stretch. Russell Wilson did it before him. Shortly after you stop this type of stretching your spine and leg joints compress back to normal.
Here's my next bold prediction.... Kyler goes #1 overall. Call it a hunch and obviously things can change but I feel good about it at this moment. Lets see what he runs his forty in. Sub 4.4 and hes a lock to go top 3.
