Scuttlebutt is that SOF raided his compound and cornered him and he clacked off some sort of explosive device killing both himself and some of his kids. Also scuttlebutt is that Alpha and or Vympel were involved in either humint gathering or direct kinetic action--- which is totally weird and probably unprecedented.



And the natives are restless.

Chalk one up for the good guys.

Dude, i just read a release and they're saying we had upwards of 60-70 souls in the raid. That's insane overkill. Must have expected a serious resistance.

So 8 helos were used and I'm assuming since it was an hour and 10 minute flight they didn't have guys bungeed onto the side of MH6's for a flight that long. So I assume they flew in with Blackhawks--- and you guys squeeze what---10 dudes and a pooch in there. Surely they took a couple of gunships along for cover so---- 6 troop carriers and two apache birds for "oh sh!t" moments and there's your 60 pipe hitters.

I talked to one of my boys who is 724th OSS and it appears when homeboy pulled the rip chord on his vest he killed 3 of his kids as well as one of y'alls pooches-- which sucks. Media is reporting he was in a tunnel of a cave when he lit it off and the tunnel collapsed on him. So he's in pieces and dead and buried.

Who goes through life wearing a fvcking bomb vest? Think about what a sh!tty life you live that you feel the need to wear a freaking BOMB VEST so you'll never be taken alive. Crazy.

Freeper, am a big Iowahawk fan but missed that one. Was laughing so hard I was crying. Don't know about UT fans but that big hit on the asshole almost made up for the KState loss. Just a Viet Nam Navy guy so not an Army hard charger like Clob but inspired by Special Forces stuff. Maybe the USA will survive after all.

They probably got him stashed in a Safe House extracting info from him with a rubber hose or Waterboarding his narrow ass about his dealings, will kill him later or give him a Holiday Inn!..ya can't believe everything ya see without looking in background movements or he's Bin Ladens roommate, if ya don't believe he died, and was dumped at Sea all of a sudden on the way back Shit?....lol or the Spec Ops boys stepped on a tin can on the floor and it set off a silent alarm and thats why he blew himself cause they was coming to get him, I bet he shit in his Turban when he knew it wasn't the Taxi he called for,,lol

Since the Kurds gave the info on where Bagdhadi was, that would mean they were in on the desertion of them to the Turks?

That makes as much sense as abandoning thousands of imprisoned ISIS soldiers to get one head of a hydra.

Glad he is dead. Sad that 3 children were killed with him.

Hey man he made that choice. That should tell you all you need to know about that dude. And here's the really psychological fvcked up part about it-- whether it's kosher to talk about it or not, the example he set for his children would have probably been followed BY his children. Ya, that's uncomfortable to talk about because yes, they were kids who likely have never harmed anyone. But what if (I know if ifs and buts were candy and nuts) those three kids grew up following their father's bad example and decided to try and out do daddy, as many sons try to do, and they end up one day launching a mission that kills you or one of yours. How you feel about that? What if you could go back in time and shwack teenaged Hitler? Think 40 million dead folks would think you were a monster?

I get it. It sucks when kids are exposed to any form of violence. But we didn't do this to them. He did. We have to keep that perspective.

Its hard enough trying to sort out the good guys from bad guys cause they all look alike, there's a old Vietnam story that goes like this...

You take all the good Vietnamese and put them on a ship in the harbor, then ya kill all the bad guys on the beach , then ya torpedo the ship in the harbor..War is hell!
