I assume most have jumped ship at this point, but, we none the less have a nationally televised game against a ranked team at home Sat afternoon.
Lets get the bad out of the way first. Texas doesn't do much of anything well on defense, goes conservative at the wrong times on offense, and is being out schemed on a weekly basis. We have 5 games left and need to win 3 to make a bowl game. We will likely be underdogs in all but one of those games. The KSU loss was likely the nail in the coffin for Charlie Strong.
With that said, there are paths to beating BU. We have been close in every game. BU hasn't really played anyone, still, and even in the games they have played have not looked stellar. OSU should have beaten them by a few touchdowns, but had several turnovers in the redzone. ISU nearly beat them. They have started slow in nearly every game.
That boads well for us, since our defense doesn't show up until the second half, but has been quitely decent if you only look at second half performance. BU also doesn't sling the rock like they did with Briles, which of course, is Strong's kryptonite. This team has played much better at home, and with Strong's job on life support I think the team might come out fired up.
