I can see him as the DC next year if PK doesn't get it done this year. Unless the offense takes a nose dive, all the offensive recruits that we have or will get leave the program or we have another 5-7 season or worse then I can't seem him as a HC at Texas

Pro tip--

When you're a head coach, you like to keep a lot of layers between YOU and termination.

How do you do that? Well, the offense is squarely on the shoulders of Sark. You know it, I know it, the AD knows it and so do the Big Cigars.
And thus far, he's put together some weapons that have the potential for fireworks.

On defense- he has a guy in PK that can get it done IF he has the personnel. But in hiring Patterson, Sark has a proven defensive commodity and if PK can't get it done, Sark can fire him and bring in Patterson and Sark gets to extend his stay. As long as Sark is putting enough points on the board to win games, if he's getting beat, he's got that "defensive guy" to drop some blame on.

Yeah I’m convinced there’s a reason Sark wanted GP on staff so badly. He’s fully aware that if the defense doesn’t get better, he may have to fire PK. Now he’s got the slam dunk promotion sitting right next to him if needed.
