I don't see how here we beat them and now look at them, same and look at us same teams both sides...etc

I can. Texas lost eight starters from that defense that played Georgia. We knew going into the season the D was dangerously thin at both CB and LB in both experience and depth with zero starters returning at either position including only one LB that's even played a snap of college football and only rookie CBs. Then....

-LB JUCO transfer Johnson leaves team

-LB Tillman gets hurt first game, out for season

-the top two CB's get hurt: Green and Thompson

-now starting a sophomore CB that played WR last season

-the only senior LB that's ever played D1 at LB gets hurt- McCullogh

-now starting a true freshman LB (Gbenda) that had been moved to RB because that position had lost 6 of top 7 players as well. He gets moved back to LB from RB and has to immediately be the starter in his first college game action ever.

-The safeties also get hurt including four of the top five on the roster: Caden Sterns, BJ Foster, D. Overshawn, and Chris Brown are all hurt

- Now, two true frosh: Adimora and Owens are thrust into action at safety

Here is a mind-blowing stat for ya'll:

"Last week during their loss at TCU, the Longhorns' two-deep featured as many freshman as it did upperclassmen (15). The discrepancy was even more mind-boggling on defense, as Todd Orlando's group went to Fort Worth with only four healthy upperclassmen in the two-deep."

However, despite all this we still have fans on the board that seem completely detached from reality and expect Texas to have no repercussions in their play.

Soooo, it's all the fault of injuries and not coaching? If not for the injuries, all would be well with this team in your opinion? Poor tackling and lack of depth are coaching issues, wouldn't you say? What about discord in the locker room? Players leaving the team. Commits dropping off. Yeah, I'd say there's more to it that you describe, calling people "detached from reality". Perhaps you should consider that there are a lot of other dynamics going on within the program than just injuries.

Idk about “all is well”, but it’d damn sure be a different story at this point in the season. I also know that perpetuating rumors about locker room “discord” sure doesn’t help anything.

That said ........ after watching the last 3-4 games, for the love of all that’s sacred whoever is playing CB, freshman or not, needs to learn to TURN AROUND!

Well there’s that. Lol

Didn't say any of that, and I'm not suggesting that.

Lack of depth? Currently, that is NOT on this staff. I've addressed this several times. Herman's staff is playing with upperclassmen from the 2016 and 2017 classes which were obliterated by attrition (2016 class) and dogshit to start with (2017). When your only depth is mostly freshman and some sophomores you are on thin ice. Then add an injury plague like this and I think it's reasonable to expect difficulties.

We don't really know what, if anything, is going on in the locker room. It's complete speculation. After the last three games I would expect, and hope, people are upset.

As far as the people leaving the team, the two I know of are no surprise. Jevon Sheppard and Pouncey. Sheppard was a roller coaster from day one of his recruitment and long been rumored to be drama-ridden. Pouncey is in his third year on campus and never played a snap of football.

As far as recruits....see above on Pouncey's bro the recruit of course he's out if his brother is transferring. The other two, Eaton and Princely were both shaky recruits before Texas lost any games.

You have a different outlook on things than a lot of people do. I hope things are as you think that they are, but things I've heard, there are major concerns within the program. Let's hope for the best. I wish I could be more optimistic, but from what I'm hearing and seeing, Texas is a mess right now.

Well,it could get worse before the season ends but not ready to jump ship just yet.It is a young team with lots of injuries so maybe a little more rope.I did not feel that way with strong but Herman should be able to figure it out,Maybe???

The last 10 years of football hell have really helped me focus more on hobbies (e.g., handgun collecting) where I'm in control of the results.

I still care, and I hope that Texas football -- and Texas men's athletics in general -- will someday discover how to properly exploit its advantages and stop stepping on its own d*ck year after year, but I'm glad I don't live and die with this sh*t as much as I used to.

Hand gun collecting you say?

Please-- tell me more. Now if it's a bunch of breach flint locks, I've just lost interest. But if it's some for real fire power, I certainly want to know more.

Hobbies? That'd be nice if I had more time for small board computing and other electronics stuff. I'm mostly focused on my mortgage payment, and seeing my 2 young Longhorns finish at UT. One is about to.

Who left ? Shepard who was a problem inside the locker room. Pouncey who appears to be a good kid but like Buchele wanted to play and his brother wants to play with him. Understandable and then we lose 2 guys that were not really committed to us even though they said they were. All things considered we are still in good shape. Sure coaching matters and the coaching needs to be better but if you do not think that what Q1 said doesn't matter then you are just wrong. I really felt that Texas tried to quickly to jump back in against elite competition early in the season and should have worked their way back into that level of competition. I realize schedules are set in advance but that schedule left no margin for error and now the team is in a tough place. The good news is this game is in Austin and I believe the team will respond. We will get a clearer picture of everything Saturday. Oh and I am hoping Whittington has a big coming out party that KState won't forget anytime soon. New England just got humbled yesterday no reason to believe the same thing can't happen to KState..

It is mind boggling how our DBs do not turn to look for the ball, and to me it is the most frustrating thing to watch on this team. I guess they are hoping it hits them in the back of the head or something.

It does make you wonder particularly when they have the receiver trapped against the sideline with no where to go..

No, no flintlocks for me.

The full answer would be a very long one. The shorter one is that I’m generally interested in high-end, high-quality, mostly out-of-production pistols and revolvers (full-custom 1911s being the primary exception to “out of production”). Mostly post-WWII, but some from before. Generally not interested in clapped-out wartime stuff, as I want high-condition and fully functional examples of the guns I’m interested in. I buy a lot of NIB/unfired collectibles, but I try to find a "shooter" in nice condition for each gun family for range fun. My practical needs have long been covered by the mass-production, non-collectible stuff.

For revolvers, the list is pretty straightforward: 1970s-80s Korths (finest sporting revolvers ever), 1970s Manurhin MR73s (finest combat revolvers ever), S&W Registered Magnums, various S&W pre-model-number N-frames, and 1950s-early 1960s Colt Pythons. There are a few others, but these have made up the bulk of my focus.

The semi-auto answer could go on a long time. In general, if it’s somewhere from uncommon to extremely rare, and it’s distinguished in build/materials quality, then I’m likely interested. Just picked up this strange, ultra-rare Italian beauty (76 made in 9mm) this past weekend:
